“Please Mr. Postman” became a number-one hit again in early 1975, when ‘The Carpenters’ cover of the song also reached the top position of the Billboard Hot 100.

Here is a hindi cover after quite a while now. ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ is a beautiful movie with some amazing songs. There are some songs that help you associate with certain times or moments in your life... I have a song for every moment I guess, but this one is special cos it reminds me of my first few days in college(in pune), my first few days trying to handle the feeling of being away from home, parents etc... and days that made lifelong memories of friends I cherish the most.

This is one of my favorite songs ever! I remember singing this in college as well. In the movie, Manju Warrier, my favorite Malayalam actress, sings the song on stage for a college function. It's a beautiful movie with a bunch of amazing songs. The song is so beautifully worded that it compliments the tune so well or may be the other way round. The song is drenched with love and romance! I think this song is one of Sujatha’s best!
