Music has always been a passion. I don't know what I would have done if I did not know how to hum a tune. I used to learn my favorite songs and then record them; the only listeners were my parents and anyone who visited us. My parents would never miss an opportunity to brag about their daughter's singing. :)
I then tumbled upon a music blog and realized that there are tons of amateur singers who display their talents for the whole world-wide-web to enjoy. I have to specially mention my blog friend Jo, who suggested the blog idea and helped me set this up. So thank you Jo!
Here is a song for all you music lovers, whose feedback and comments are always appreciated. One lazy Saturday afternoon, my husband and I, recorded this. Having the technical knowledge of a caveman, I knew I was not up to it. He gets complete credit for the time and effort put into this recording. After all he is the Best! ;)
Song :Kalyana Then Nila
Movie: Mounam Sammadam
Composed by :Illayaraja - The Legend

Beautiful rendition Rashmi. Am glad that you finally came up with your music blog. :-) Your first selection is very good. All the best and keep music-blogging. :-)
Superb first post!! You are an excellent singer, with an awesome voice.. You could improve a bit on the "Bhaava" aspect...
As far as recording goes, again a reasonable first effort...
Overall very very good!! We eagerly wait for more solos and duets!

You're voice is quite fresh and gives a good reverb effect to the song.

Wow! superb. Really you sing well. But be careful in adjusting the voice. The orchestra was in low voice compared to your sound. Anyway, it was wonderful.

Dear Rashmi,
I work in Dubai. My colleagues are mostly Egyptians. I made them hear your rendition of this lovely song. They said there is so much love, care & sweetness in your voice. They obviously did not understand a word, but they understood this was a love song without me telling. They said it was very clear from your voice that this is a love song. Keep up the good work!!
A friend of mine is interested in singing this song with the background music. Could you send me the karaoke version without the vocals? I tried searching, could not find anywhere.
